Dr. Alan Gardner
Alan Gardner was born in Harrisburg, PA to Dave and Caroline Gardner, the middle child of three children. He grew up in a Christian home where both parents set a good example and faithfully went to a church where the gospel was preached.
He was married in October 1981 to Annette Carpenter, and after having twin girls he moved to Lancaster, PA. It was there the Lord began to work in their lives. Pastor Aaron Riehl moved in next door to them and through his ministry and strong gospel preaching at Harvest Baptist Church, He became convicted of his sin and his lost condition. Then one day on his way to work he received Jesus Christ as his Savior. He began growing in the Lord and was later baptized when Pastor Pete Heisey came to Harvest Baptist Church. Through his ministry, He was called to preach and began Bible college in 1986. During that time, He served as his assistant, youth director, youth Sunday School teacher, song leader and was active in the soul-winning and other ministries of the church until he graduated from Bible college in 1990. He was ordained at Harvest Baptist Church on October 1, 1989. After his ordination, he served at Trinity Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Aaron Riehl in Lititz, PA until the fall of 1992. He began pastoring at Leroy Independent Baptist Church from 1990-1992, then was at Port Norris Baptist Church from 1992-2000, and since March 12, 2000, he has pastored Bible Baptist Church for over 20 years.
He has two married daughters with their husbands and three grandchildren who faithfully serve the Lord at Bible Baptist Church. On May 14, 2020, he was awarded an honorary Doctorate from Fairhaven Baptist College. In over thirty years of ministry, there have been souls saved and have grown to be mature faithful Christians. To God be the glory great things he hath done!
